Vangelis Kroustalis studied archaeology at the University of Athens, where he later submitted his PhD Τhesis on the historical topography of ancient Athens. He has worked as a field archaeologist for approximately 25 years. In addition to his strong archaeological background, he has spent countless hours exploring the Greek countryside.
Along with more common destinations, as a Salaminian actively involved in excavations since 1997, Vangelis Kroustalis has a profound knowledge of the historic island of Salamis. Located very close to Athens, Salamis in an island gifted with superior nature, unique monuments, historical sites. These include the straits of the cosmohistorical naval battle (480 BC), the city of the lengendary King Ajax and the Cave of Euripides.
